Its official! Christmas time is just around the corner!!! With Christmas coming that means shopping. But who always ends up cramming in all their holiday shopping into the last two weeks before Christmas. Almost everyone!

Diy-ing is great overall, but what's even better is DIY gifts. Anywhere from homemade candies to blankets...Beauty products are perfect holiday gifts!
So here’s a MINT SUGAR SCRUB

Ingredients:
½ cup of coconut oil
1 ½ -2 cups of sugar
1 tbsp peppermint extract
1 drop green food coloring
All you need is a few simple ingredients to make this simple sugar scrub:
1st: Your oil of choice (coconut worked fine for mine)
2nd: sugar
3rd: oil extract for the scent (and again peppermint extract worked fine)

This holiday season includes a lot of peppermint and that's how I got this idea from. Because of that I also added a drop of green food coloring to give it that minty-green look. On the plus side mint green is such a lovely color!
Here's a picture for you to enjoy this color(;

Coconut oil can simply be found right next to all the other oils in the baking section at a grocery store. It usually does come solid, so I just microwaved it in a bowl for it to soften, Only took about 15-25 seconds.

From there just add the sugar, peppermint extract, and the drop of food coloring and mix it all together. Mix until you have a moist, minty-green scrub. If the scrub turns out to dry add more coconut oil, if it's to wet add more sugar. Make it as you prefer.

To make the perfect package to give this as a gift, I spooned the scrub into a wide-mouth half pint mason jar. This recipe should be enough for at least 3. To add a little detail add a paper doily between the jar lid and ring. It makes a big difference! Also add some twine around the jar for the perfect finishing touch.
